State Street's 2025 Digital Assets Outlook reveals that 60% of major financial institutions plan to increase allocations within the next year, with overall exposure projected to double by 2027.

Tokenization has emerged as the driving force behind this institutional pivot. Private equity and fixed income markets are leading the charge, with asset managers viewing blockchain infrastructure as critical for unlocking liquidity and operational efficiency. The convergence of distributed ledger technology with AI and quantum computing is creating new paradigms for capital formation.

"Digital assets have graduated from sandbox projects to Core holdings," said Joerg Ambrosius of State Street. The survey of 324 executives across asset management firms confirms that blockchain integration has moved from theoretical discussions to implementation roadmaps.
